After a few disasters we have got a new venue and new dates ready to share with you! We are now going to be holding our markets at the lovely Nutfield Lodge. It’s a venue with a difference, instead of a church or school hall we are using the whole downstairs of the lodge! They have a wonderful new manager and we are so excited to be supporting such a lovely venue get back to it’s best…
At the moment we have booked in 3 dates and each market is going to be longer than previous years, running from 10:30am – 4pm … giving you more time to indulge in all things crafty ! And even more exciting,
the first one is celebrating our 3rd birthday (we can’t believe how far we’ve come since our first markets shown in the photo here!) !!! So expect the relaunch to be a celebration of everything we love about our wonderful market !!!
Saturday 4th May
Saturday 20th July
Saturday 16th November
A little bit more about the venue...
Nutfield lodge is in a great central location, with easy access to the M25 and M23 as well as the local towns!
4 minutes from Redhill
8 minutes from Godstone
11 minutes from Reigate
15 minutes from Horley
Within the lodge there are 2 rooms, a main space where the majority of our wonderful stalls will be based and a slightly smaller space that will house our very exciting new venture … workshops - but more on that later! There is also a bar area where the venue will be serving hot and cold drinks as well as light lunches.
Sample Menu (subject to small changes!)
Sandwiches, Wraps – various fillings
Burgers with salad and pickles
Jacket Potatoes with various fillings
Bacon and Sausage sandwiches, baguettes and rolls
Chips (and cheesy chips)
The rooms are beautifully light and we are planning to make the most of them! There is also a lovely patio area with benches and the most wonderful views for miles – so we are definitely keeping our fingers crossed for at least a couple of lovely days so we can all take full advantage of this! But even if we have a bit of rain, which let’s be honest is statistically very possible, there is plenty of space to keep dry inside!!
Another great part of this venue is the parking, it has a huge area with plenty of space for you to park. So no struggling to find where to park in Reigate, no paying for parking and in theory no stress !!
What will be happening...
As always we will be recruiting the very best local handmade businesses to showcase their beautiful products … there will be around 30-35 stalls per market. So expect exquisite jewellery, beautiful prints and cards, handmade children’s clothing, wonderful homewares, beautiful gifts, a few yummy foodie businesses and so much more!
We pride ourselves on being a varied fair that doesn’t repeat, we ensure that we don’t become a sea of jewellery stalls or host 4 candle stalls all selling the same scented candles! This, along with our handmade only requirement ensure that you get the best of the best…
If you own a small business and would like to apply just click on the link and fill in our booking form!
We are also welcoming back a favourite of last year’s markets … the super popular Stash Swap!
This is a way for you all to destash and recycle your unwanted craft supplies. The idea is that you bring along all the bits and pieces that you no longer want and swap them for things you will use! After some feedback from you all we also decided to add a charity pot to the table in case you haven’t bought any supplies to put on the table and you would like to donate some money to our chosen charity – Cystic Fibrosis !
Workshops are a new feature coming to our markets … we are in the process of arranging a programme of workshops which will be run by some of our very talented crafters! They will be between 30 minutes – 1 hour and will be a mix of bookable sessions and drop in. But more information about these sessions will be coming soon … so keep an eye out for that on our social media posts!
If there are any specific crafts you’d be interested in do get in touch or comment to let us know.
Our vision …
There are now two ways to enjoy The Crafter's Market.
Pop in, do your bit and support local businesses by shopping with them or even just learning about their craft. Have a cup of tea or coffee and maybe take part in a drop in workshop!
Pre book some workshops. Then come along, wander around the stalls, attend a workshop. Have a lovely lunch with a good old cup of tea! Do some shopping and discover all the wonderful local businesses. Then maybe attend another workshop have some cake and treat yourself to even more goodies … and if it’s a nice day … sunbathe on the patio !!!
So write our new dates in your diary, watch out for our workshop launches coming in the next few weeks and keep telling us what you want to see!
We want the market to be perfect for all our wonderful, loyal customers and the best way for us to do this is to use your feedback.
